Our Fountains of Musica namesakes, Boudleaux and Felice Bryant, have been getting a lot of accolades recently and on February 13, the Nashville Symphony will be honoring them with a night of beautiful music.
Symphony Celebrates Boudleaux and Felice Bryant
Nashville’s first professional songwriters have received an outpouring of support and acknowledgement from the Nashville music community. Del Bryant, son of Boudleaux and Felice, wrote “these have been some of the most heartwarming and emotional nights of my life.”
In honor of his parent’s achievements and their love for each other, Del and his wife Carolyn are throwing an event, appropriately named “Boudleaux and Felice Bryant Centennial Celebration: A Diamond Anniversary Love Story in Song,” with the Nashville Symphony to celebrate in a unique way!
They chose to partner with the symphony as an homage to Boudleaux’s childhood playing with the Atlanta Symphony. The date they have chosen, February 13, 2020, marks not only the 75th anniversary of the day his parents met, but also his father’s 100th birthday. This is sure to be a night you won’t forget. Make sure to get your tickets as this event is expected to sell out!
More Honors For The Bryants
The end of September 2019, the opening of a brand new exhibit happened at the Country Music Hall of Fame, dedicated to Boudleaux and Felice Bryant and the beautiful life they wove together through their songs. It was a night to remember with performances from Alison Krauss, Jason Isbell, Bobby Osborne, and more.
The duo were also awarded the lifetime achievement award from the Americana Music Association as well as the inaugural Evergreen award at BMI for the song “Rocky Top.”
